Just wanted to let you know how much we have enjoyed the treatment that we have received from all of the Barna employees that have helped us realize our log home dream. As you know we have been planning our home for some time and we have been conversing with you on it for over five years. The excitement of finally getting started with the log home seminar and contruction classes that Barna offers were overwhelming. We would definitely recommend these to anyone that is considering a log home. Besides the technical aspects that the classes offered it was the warm and hospitabal treatment that I remember the most. We are building our log home ourselves and have used the technical assistance line more than once since we started. It is a nice feeling to know that the customer service did not stop once we purchased our kit.

Someone asked me the other day what I liked about my new home. My mind raced to all kinds of answers, including looks, effiency, and other physical attributes. However, after thinking it over, I realized it was much broader than individual characteristics. It fits our needs that have become pretty basic as we have grown older and retired. Comfort and security over most everything. By choosing a smaller home, we didn't have to use all our income for housepayments. Being on the site while it was being built saved even more and still allowed us to have the extra comforts we wanted. This, in turn, provided security as we were abel to stay within our budget and still have a strong, secure home. It is designed to carry us into our later years and still have the adventuresome feel of "starting out". I never come down our drive that I don't feel a wave of pleasure as I see our home nestled in the woods, beside a creek. This is what life is about. Thanks Barna for helping us make it happen.

We love our home. Why? Because every square inch feels like home. From Tobacco Barn hardwood floors to the 20 ft. Cathedral ceilings, it is home. Not only did we get the "country feeling" of a log home, but we also got a "homey coziness" that can not be found in conventional homes. My home is not built yet, but we have been pleased with the barna rep/contractor, David Oldham here in Colorado. We called a lot of different companies, he was the first to call back and the first to suggest a floor plan within our budget, etc. You see 3 years ago I was in a bad car wreck, in a coma for 30 days and paralized from the neck down for 90 days my legs were crushed hip shattered, liver lacerated, all my ribs were broken, lungs collapsed, etc. I spent 8 months in the hospital and a year in my living room in a hospital bed. We had been saving up to build a log home but that all went to pay hospital bills. Friends nominated us for an extreme home makeover but we didn't get picked. We began to save up again and in feb. this year our house burned down. We were just about devastated but found that if we could stick to a tight budget we could add our savings to our insurance reimbursement and build our dream home. David has been helpful in these planning stages in making this possible and timely. We'll keep you posted as the project progresses.
