Alfred Branim Appointed President of Barna Log Homes

ONEIDA, Tenn. – Alfred Branim has been named president of Barna Log Homes. Darlene Branim, who continues as chief executive officer, purchased the company in July 2006.

Mr. Branim brings a successful career of detail management and will oversee the day-to-day operations at Barna. Approximately 150 employees work at the company’s corporate headquarters and manufacturing plant in Oneida.

Ms. Branim remarked, “Alfred’s management experience will ensure we continue to upgrade our day-to-day operations and keep us at the forefront of this industry. He is extremely organized and levelheaded. Our growth and our commitment to quality control have necessitated this move. ”

Alfred Branim was previously in various management positions at Armstrong Hardwood Flooring in Oneida, Tenn. where he spent 23 years.  Armstrong had 650 employees during his years there. Additionally, he was in charge of Armstrong’s floor care products manufacturing facility.

“My experience at Armstrong will help the management details at Barna. I’ve watched Barna grow for more than 20 years, and it’s a thrill for me to come along side Darlene at this exciting time.  We have made some very big plans,” Branim says.

“I’ve been looking forward to this day,” Darlene Branim says.  “I’ll be able to focus on the big picture and business expansion. Alfred will make sure our plans become reality. For example, we have just launched our Adventure Series cabins to outdoor enthusiasts. It’s going to be huge!”

Jim Barna, who passed away in 2004, founded Barna Log Homes 30 years ago.  The company, located in Oneida, Tennessee, has delivered more than 13,000 log homes throughout the United States and abroad.
